Michael Haydn: Requiem

It has already become a tradition that every year at the end of October, the opera company presents a requiem in the breathtaking setting of St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral in Plzeň, featuring soloists, choir, and orchestra of the DJKT Opera under the baton of Jiří Petrdlík. The event, held in cooperation with the Plzeň Diocese, draws extraordinary public interest.

This year’s requiem will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, offering audiences the chance to experience the sacred work of Michael Haydn, brother of the famous composer, whose 1771 Requiem even influenced Mozart’s renowned final masterpiece. Due to great public demand, we recommend reserving tickets well in advance.
