The life of one of the most famous Czech writers as a chamber opera.
A chamber opera based on the life and work of one of the most famous Czech writers. In this original opera with a libretto by documentarist and teacher Olga Sommerová, Božena Němcová descends from the pedestal of the author of required reading. She shows her human qualities, especially as regards her relationship to her husband, as well as both her rises and falls, demonstrating what it was like to try to become an emancipated woman in mid-19th-century Bohemia.
