The touching movie Il Bacio di Tosca by Daniel Schmid captures with humour and bizarreness the fate of retired opera stars. The stage adaptation in a world premiere by Christoph Klimke was created, based on the film, for the senior ensemble of the Volksbühne in Berlin. Senior artists, once touted soloists, literally show their life peaks and turns. At the same time, they fight with the municipal council about finances and the future of their nursing home - the unique Villa Verdi. We will show the story of the transience of fame and the strangeness of human destiny that 'shortly screams on the world's stage and then the curtain is drawn on it' in a Czech premiere. And we will pay homage to all Pilsen artists who grew old and ended. In the dustbin of history. In front of us.

Premiere on 30 April 2016 at the Grand Theatre.

Tobacco products are used in the performance.
