The main character of this year's fairy-tale, Tobias Lolness, is a boy who is just over one millimetre tall. His home is on a giant tree that represents the whole world for its inhabitants.

One day, Tobias's father refuses to give up the secret of his genius invention that threatens the survival of the tree. The Lolness family is sent to exile and Tobias has to flee to the land of the Grass People. He seeks safety, friends and a way to save the tree from destruction, because there is a deep crater eroding the tree’s heart. He tries to avert catastrophe and find his parents...

Tobias Lolness is the author's debut novel, which received both French and international awards, among others the most prestigious prize in the world of children's literature, Hans Christian Andersen award.
