The Swiss playwright Friedrich Dürrenmatt is one of the most disturbing authors of the 20th century. In his plays, he poses urgent existential questions - what is democracy, homeland, heroism, justice, responsibility for the world in which we live. He does not imitate reality, but he juggles it with imagination and playfulness within wide-open boundaries. The grotesque comedy Hercules And The Augean Stables had its successful premiere at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich in 1963.

Premiere on 12 December 2020 at the Grand Theatre
