Maybe a tramp, maybe an unlucky man, but a fellow with his heart in the right place. Since 1914, when he made his first movies, he has not left the silent and sound movie screens and later also the TV screens.
Jiří Pokorný projects eighty-eight years of Charlie Chaplin's life into ballet images that pay tribute to the significant personality of the celluloid tape and in particular, to a man whose life experiences, artistic and political responsibility and ups and downs in personal life still have something to say today. A musical collage with hits from Chaplin's films supports the portrait of a great artist and frames the original dance composition.
Premiere on 17 March 2018 at the New Theatre.
