A Czech premiere of a musical written by one of the 'Broadway Kings', composer and songwriter Cole Porter. The world premiere of the Anything Goes musical was in 1934 at the Alvin Theatre. The renewed production in 2011 received the Drama Desk Award and nine Tony Award nominations of which it won two.
This comedy story has all the attributes of the musical production of the 1930s: the crazier the story, the better. The main character, nightclub singer Reno Sweeney travels to Europe with her all-girl band Reno Angels. She falls in love with Billy Crocker, a Secretary from Wall Street. But he is in love with a lady from higher circles, Hope Harcourt, which is going to England with a certain aristocrat to enter into a marriage of convenience with him. The enamoured Billy pursues her all the way to the ship where he finds himself on-board without the passport and a ticket ...
Premiere on 28 November 2015 at the Black Box.
Tobacco products are used in the performance.
